The Expanse is genuinely the best TV science fiction I've seen in years. Four episodes in and so far I literally have no complaints about it. For a TV show about a book that I really enjoyed, it's hard to describe how unlikely that is. The show doesn't treat you like an idiot. 'The Expanse' is based on a series of novels by James S.A. Corey, a pen name for two writers collaborating on the books. The Expanse is a TV series based on the book series of the same name by Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck (under the pseudonym James S.A. Corey), who also serve among the show's producers and writers. The series is produced by Alcon Entertainment and premiered online through several VOD services on November 23, 2015 1, and premiered on Syfy in.
